A sales manager reviewing a pipeline chart on a laptop beside a laboratory instrument

Portfolio · Laboratory instrument sales · US subsidiary

Years of sales history, recovered from email into a working pipeline.

The sales history lived in one executive's mailbox and the forecast was a spreadsheet. A new sales manager needed a working CRM from the first week.

The work

What we built, and why

The problem

The company sells laboratory test instruments to a few hundred target organisations. A sale takes months and is worth a lot. For years the history of every account lived in one executive's email, and the forecast was a spreadsheet kept by the same person.

A new sales manager was starting. Handing over a mailbox is not a handover. The team needed a CRM with the real accounts in it, and they needed it before the manager's first customer call.

What we built

The system reads the sales mail through Microsoft Graph, read-only. It never displays the mail as an inbox. A scheduled crawl picks up new messages, and a one-time backfill worked through the history.

From that mail, AI proposes opportunities, tasks, and short account histories. Each proposal waits in an approvals list until a person accepts it. A value someone typed by hand is never overwritten.

The team works from the pipeline, the forecast, and the list of accounts that have gone quiet. On Monday the weekly digest goes to the team, and the parent company receives its report in the format it already uses.

The screens

What the people using it see.

Drawn illustrations with sample figures. They show the layout and the measures, not the client's data.

Pipeline. The pipeline the new manager inherited on day one, rebuilt from the sales email history rather than typed in.
Approvals. The AI proposes; a person decides. Nothing it suggests overwrites a value someone entered by hand.

The result

What changed

The new sales manager started from a pipeline of real accounts instead of a blank CRM. The weekly report to the parent company now builds itself, and quiet accounts surface before they go cold.

Start with a written assessment.

Each of these projects was scoped from an assessment of the systems the company already ran. The assessment is yours to keep either way.
