What does not change
Policy, assessment, dashboard, watch.
Industry changes the vocabulary, not the method. Every engagement starts with the AI Use Policy and the AI security assessment, because the alternative is a decision made by whoever pasted first. What gets built is scoped from what the review finds, and the dashboard runs in your own Microsoft cloud account.
If your industry is not listed here, that is a gap in the page list rather than a gap in the work. The method holds wherever there are systems worth reading and data worth governing.

Which industries do you work in?
Third Shift works with accounting and CPA firms, professional services, light manufacturing, distribution and logistics, construction, medical and dental practices, nonprofits, and insurance agencies. The method does not change from one industry to the next. What changes is which information is protected and which systems hold it. See the industry pages for what we usually find in each.
What size company do you work with?
Third Shift works with small and mid-sized companies. That means big enough to run real systems such as accounting, sales tracking, or practice management, and not big enough to have a full-time CIO. The first step is a conversation, then either a part-time CIO retainer or a review with a fixed scope and a quoted price. Everything after the review is priced from what it finds.
What does Third Shift actually do?
Third Shift is a technology management firm. We serve as the part-time CIO for a small number of companies, owning the plan, the vendors, the spend, and the recommendations. We specialize in AI (the rules, the tools already running, and automation built into what you own), technology spend you can see monthly, and Microsoft 365 tenant work. If you have no help desk or no MSP, we find that firm and stay on the process. We do not run tickets, devices, or day-to-day administration. People still search for “AI management company”; that is a specialty, not the name of the firm.
Where are you based and do you work remotely?
Third Shift Group LLC is based in North Carolina and works with firms across North and South Carolina. Most of the work runs remotely, against your Microsoft cloud account and your systems.
