Files move into SharePoint and stay current until each company cuts over.
A one-time copy would have been stale before people switched, and there was nowhere on site large enough to hold the files during the move.

What we built, and why
The problem
Each company had years of files in a file-sync product, and SharePoint was where those files needed to live. A single copy would have been stale by the time people switched. There was also nowhere on site large enough to land the data while the copy ran.
What we built
The bridge is one system. A new company is a new configuration, not a new program. Files are extracted into Azure storage, then loaded into the company's SharePoint. A scheduled pass copies only what changed, so SharePoint stays current until that company's cutover. When a person is cut over, their files stop syncing. A certification report compares the source with what arrived and names anything that did not move.
Operators run the migrations from one console, behind their own sign-in. The source files stay in place until the report says the move is complete.
